The Pendergast series was my first venture into the world of writing, and my first attempt at putting my works in print. Unfortunately, I did not do the proper research before signing a contract with a self-publishing company.

Why was it unfortunate? First, they did nothing to assist me to become a better writer. They printed my first three novels exactly as the novel came out of my word processor, with all the grammatical errors, the typos, and any other mistake I made.

Second, I am locked into a 7-year contract. I can change nothing in those novels. Since those books were written, I have learn a lot about being an author, and I want to totally re-write them, to give them the opportunity to be good or even great books.

The Alberta Connection, A Ryce Dalton novel, is the only adventure novel I am presently very proud of. As I said, I have learned a great deal in the past year. I have learned enough to actually think I might be a writer, or at least have the potential to be a writer.

And, I am Blog Master of The Author’s Club blog (http://theauthorsclub.wordpress.com) and the Webmaster of The Authors Club website (http://theauthorsclub.weebly.com)

I am first and foremost an Independent Author. I don’t have a big publishing company standing behind me. All I have is the desire to work my craft, develop new ideas, and find a way to put my words on paper.

Gosh….am I really doing all that, and writing 500-1000 words a day? It’s a good thing I have my Dr. Pepper.
